Reading in the Real World Competition!
Reading is all around us, all the time! This year, as part of our celebration of World Book Day, we challenged you to think about when we read in the wider world and to take a picture reading something different to a storybook. Well done to everyone who entered the competition! You helped to show how important reading is in the wider world.
World Book Day 2024!
World Book Day is one of the highlights of our year at Holy Rood Primary School! We love the annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading. We enjoyed dressing up as some of our favourite characters and took part in some exciting activities in our school library. Some characters created an awful mess in our libraries so we had to piece the clues together to guess 'who did it?'. Take a look at our pictures and see if you can guess.
