Enabling Communion
How do we Enable Communion at Holy Rood?
- Form our Chaplaincy team using an application process.
- Meet regularly to work together to plan events to develop the Catholic Life of the school.
- Plan and lead whole school assemblies linked to Remembrance day and Stations of the Cross.
- Create a Stations of the Cross pathway around the school.
- Work with local charities to help and support our global neighbours.
- Work with the Samuel Partnership to plan and carry out events.

Enabled Communion ...
The children have been busy preparing for Advent which involved some fun arts and crafts. Today we started creating Advent prayer bags which every child in the school will be able to take home to share with their families, to help prepare for the coming of Christ.
During the season of Advent, we wait and prepare for the coming of Christ at Christmas. The Chaplaincy team have created beautiful Advent wreaths for each class so that we can count down the weeks until Jesus' birth.
