Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures
Safeguarding children is enshrined in all school policies and practice. We believe in creating and maintaining a healthy, safe and enjoyable learning environment for all children.
Holy Rood Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and external agencies to comply with the policies. All staff and volunteers must undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Holy Rood Primary operates a lanyard 'colour coded' Safeguarding procedure.
All staff wear 'Blue' lanyards
'Yellow' lanyards are DBS checked visitors.
'Red' lanyard are for vistors who are not DBS checked and cannot be left unaccompanied with children.
Holy Rood Primary has a duty of care to it's pupils and reserves the right to take reasonable action to ensure the welfare and safety of it's pupils. If our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Miss Naomi Fry, Head Teacher or her deputy Miss Helen Thomas, Deputy Head Teacher have a cause to be concerned that a pupil may be subject to ill-treatment, neglect or any other form of abuse, the school will follow Child Protection Procedures.
Mrs Liz Galvin is our Pastoral Lead and manages pastoral support within the school for all children. Please see the document below for the support that is given within the school setting and beyond to external services.
