School Values
At Holy Rood Catholic Primary School, our children grow and flourish in God's love. Through our twelve school values, we help our children to make a positive contribution to both the school and the wider community. Each term, we have two focus values. The focus values for each term are initially shared with the children through an assembly, and then discussed and reflected upon in Collective Worship and during PSHE lessons, where appropriate. Children are encouraged to demonstrate their understanding of these values by putting them in to action throughout the term and class teachers are then invited to choose one child each week who has been a role model in demonstrating those values. These children are our Values Champions for the week, and their achievements are shared and celebrated with the adults and children from the rest of their Key Stage during our Celebration Assembly. They are also awarded the Values Champion Certificate to take home and share with their parents:
Term 1 - Love and Prayer
Term 2 - Courage and Compassion
Term 3 - Confidence and Respect
Term 4 - Honesty and Responsibility
Term 5 - Fairness and Loyalty
Term 6 - Perseverance and Resilience
