Enabling Communion

How do we Enable Communion at Holy Rood?
- Form our Chaplaincy team using an application process.
- Meet regularly to work together to plan events to develop the Catholic Life of the school.
- Plan and lead whole school assemblies linked to Remembrance day, Rosary service and Stations of the Cross.
- Create a Stations of the Cross pathway around the school.
- Work with local charities to help and support our global neighbours.
- Work with the Samuel Partnership and the Little Way Catholic Educational Trust to plan and carry out events(visiting St Carlos Acutis' relics).
Take a look at some of the ways we have
Enabled Communion ...
The chaplaincy team visited St Gregory's church to join other local schools in Mass and to visit St Carlo's relics. Each child was able to take a prayer card and touch the relic using these, we have also done the same for all Holy Rood children so that they have a special prayer card for their families at home.
The Chaplaincy team had a great time visiting St Joseph's college, which allowed them to take part in a variety of enjoyable activities and workshops, as well as opportunities for prayer and worship.
The Chaplaincy club worked together to help create Advent prayer bags to support prayer life for families at home as we prepare for the birth of Christ.
