KS2 Teacher

 

Full Time, Permanent Contract

Required: January 2019

 

Holy Rood Catholic Primary School is currently on an exciting journey as we continue to expand from an infant school into a full primary. As we continue in our final year of growth, the Governors and Head Teacher are seeking to appoint an outstanding Key Stage 2 practitioner who can join our dedicated and enthusiastic team of fabulous children and superb staff. This is an incredibly unique opportunity where the successful candidate will be provided with brand new resources and a canvas on which to build a stimulating and inspiring learning environment with their new teaching team.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high expectations of all pupils’ achievements and behaviour, and a commitment to raising standards
  • Have the drive and motivation to create inspiring learning environments
  • Have an excellent subject knowledge and clear understanding of the expectations of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering quality first teaching strategies that are inclusive and engage all learners
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • Be organised and well-planned, able to show initiative and reflect on their own practice
  • Have evidence of successful subject leadership or a passion for a subject specialism
  • Be motivated, with a good sense of humour and an eagerness to learn and develop professionally

Midday Supervising Assistant

Salary: J grade with Living Wage Allowance

8.75 hours per week, Fixed Term Contract

Required: As soon as possible

 

The Governors of Holy Rood Catholic Primary School Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring midday supervising assistant. The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • supports the ethos and values of a Catholic school;
  • recognises the place of confidentiality in the school environment.
     

Essential Qualifications:

  • An ability to relate well to both children and adults
  • Have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age in either a paid, voluntary or domestic environment and will need to be able to show an interest in children’s development and in a wide range of issues concerning their education and welfare

 

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of basic health and safety, and first aid
  • Evidence of working constructively as part of a team
  • Ability to plan for and lead an activity with a small group of children

 

These key responsibilities and tasks may involve working between the two school sites.
