Thursday 2nd April 2020

Good morning everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has uploaded work onto our Interactive Learning Diary, we have really enjoyed seeing what you have been up to.

Collins Big Cat books have got some free e-books that you can look at together with your child. We suggest starting on the pink level books and moving your child up to the next level once they can read the book without sounding out the words.

Here is the link to the website.

We hope you have a good day.

Good morning everyone and happy 1st April! We hope you are having a lovely week so far and have enjoyed seeing your fantastic learning. Don't forget you can upload videos, photos and comments of the wonderful things you have been learning at home on our Interactive Learning Diary.

We realise that this may be a worrying time for everyone, and it is important to relax. Cosmic Kids Peace Out is a lovely short guided meditation session for relaxing. Attached is a link to the YouTube channel.

Have a lovely day.

Monday 30th March 2020

Welcome to your second week of learning, we hope you had a lovely weekend and are refreshed ready to learn!

We have all been very impressed with how hard the children have been working at home and have loved seeing all their brilliant dens, stories, number work and super writing.

This week's activities can be found under the weekly planning star. We have added some phonic activities to help the children to continue to practise and use all their sounds.

Just a reminder that we are using the Interactive Learning Diary to record and monitor the children's learning. If you don't have access to a laptop then you can download the app for phone or Ipad from the app store. The image below shows the correct app.

We hope you have another successful week of home schooling and keep safe and well

Friday 27th March 2020

It is Friday and you have nearly finished your first week of home learning!

There are two new additions to the home learning page. At the top there is now a link to free audio books that Amazon has released, there are lots of books and rhymes suitable for younger children.

Also, Milo our school therapy dog now has his own star, he will be leaving messages for the children and making sure that everyone is ok, please do show them to your child.

We would like to thank you all for your continued support this week, it is a challenging time and it has been lovely to see our children continuing to have fun and trying their best.

Good morning everyone, we hope you all managed to enjoy some sunshine yesterday.

We have been really enjoying seeing your work on the Interactive Learning Diary, you are all working so hard on your home challenges!

We have uploaded some videos to the Parent Support tab to help support you with your child's phonics packs. These model some ideas that you could use to help the children with their daily phonics activities.

Joe Wickes is doing daily warm up PE sessions at 9am, and could be an ideal way to start the day, the link is as follows

Hope you have another successful day and don't forget to email if you need anything.

Good Morning and welcome to our EYFS Home Learning page.

Please look in the weekly planning folder for this week's home learning tasks and links to some useful websites.

You will find separate folders for key words, spellings and useful websites. Please familiarise yourselves with these as you will need to use these regularly.

Please also make sure that you are registered on the Interactive Learning Diary so that you can send us pictures, videos and comments of your child's learning.

Please contact us if you have any questions or issues. Our email address is yearr@holyroodprimary.co.uk. We may not answer straight away but we will get back before the end of the school day.

We appreciate that this an unusual situation and we thank you for all your support during this time.
