Have you noticed that butterflies are starting to emerge from their crysalides around this time of year? We had a beautiful peacock butterfly that landed on our play tent. We could tell it was a peacock butterfly because of the pattern on the wings. Last year we had lots of cabbage white butterflies lay their eggs and hatch into caterpillars, but they hatched on our vegetable patch so Mum has put a net over that part of the garden. We have planted a special plant for them to go on called a buddleia in our bee and butterfly section of the garden.
