We enjoyed a Truck and Child Safety event learning about the dangers of trucks on our roads. Trucks and Child Safety (TACS) is a national safety programme run by the DHL Foundation and aims to teach children aged between 7 and 11 to be safe on the road by creating greater awareness of larger vehicles and their dangers.

In preparation for sports day, we have been playing lots of competitive games helping to develop our throwing, catching and speed!

Jaguar class are very excited about the Euros so they created a sweepstake and chose countries out of a hat for each class (and office) to follow. Jaguar class will be following Wales and Portugal! Each day we will fill in our wall chart and keep an eye on the progress on our teams.

Breaking News - Year 3 have saved Christmas. In the weeks leading up to Christmas year 3 received a letter from Scrooge telling us that he was going to cancel Christmas as he felt no body knew the true meaning of the celebration. Year 3 carried out lots of work about letter writing and discussed the true meaning of Christmas and what the present represent. They wrote letters to Scrooge giving him details about how we celebrate Christmas and explained the nativity story. Scrooge was very impressed with the letters and here is his reply!

In PE we have been carrying out Marital Arts sessions. The lessons allowed the children to further develop in areas such as flexibility, balance, agility and co-ordination. The children had lots of fun in the sessions and learnt some valuable skills.

In Science we have been investigating rocks and identifying their properties. We have carried out a number of investigations, including finding out which rock would be best for a statue and which rocks are water proof. We are having lots of fun with our learning and finding out some great facts.
